What gorgeous, magical pictures! I can see why this is your favorite park and a wonderful place to spend a rare, sunny, warm day!

Thank you, Janice. It's a wonderful place to go at any time of year, but especially when the weather is hot (for Ireland!) and I want to enjoy it without getting sunburned.

Oh my goodness Clarice. These photos are going on my vision board. 🍀 I am reflecting on our trip to Ireland this time last year and how much I was in love with it. The flowers looking like snowflakes 🥹 it’s so beautiful thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Betty. And there are miles of trails like this all through the park, which is one reason I like it so much.

Every time I read one of your posts on Ireland, Clarice, I feel like I am immersed in a fairy tale! The green is Soooo green! And the paths, the woods, the trees -- the TREES! The one with the huge trunk, it looks for Sure like straight out of a fairy tale, maybe a talking tree. What a beautiful place you have chosen.

You're right about the beauty of Ireland, Jeanine. We could have retired to just about any place in the world, and this is the place we chose. Centuries ago, Ireland was absolutely covered in forests like this. Now less than 12% of the country has any trees at all. But if you just keep the sheep (and non-native deer) away and stop mowing, it quickly reverts back to its former self. Nature here is just so abundant. Which is true, I imagine, of the Yucatan, too.

What a magical place!

Do you know: You can eat the flowers of the wild garlic in a salad!

I know we can--but I can't get Gerhard to eat flowers in salads!

Sehr schade! Es gibt nämlich ganz viele köstliche Blüten, die man essen kann...
